"In the Loop" is in theaters now, and it is CRAZY HILARIOUS, so you should go see it right away. Armando was on Fresh Air today, as well.
In addition, of course, to the definitive interview, on The Sound of Young America. The *only* interview which asks Iannucci questions about the TV shows he created that can't be watched, even on DVD, in the USA :).

I was really happy to hear you ask so many Partridge and Day Today questions. That made the interview for me. Keep up the geekily good work.

Been waiting to see the Charlie Rose thing. Should be interesting.
Really enjoyed the Iannucci interview on TSOYA, Jesse, but I must say that I think it's (sort of) an outrage that "In the Loop" hasn't been promoted more in the US, outside of the NPR-PBS-TSOYA :) spectrum. I at least assumed there would be some kind of nod from either "The Daily Show" or "The Colbert Report" - maybe have on Capaldi or Iannucci or even Gandolfini - given that
1) "ITL" is the comedy to beat in 2009
2) those two shows owe Iannucci A LOT
3) topically it's right up their alley (political satire etc etc)
I wonder who dropped the ball - the distributors/PR people or the shows themselves? It really begs the question, especially considering how the Apatow stable has been occupying every talkshow couch for the last couple of weeks leading up to the premiere of "Funny People".

No
It most definitely does not "beg the question".
that is a classic dick move,
that is a classic dick move, anon. You need to listen to Geoff Nunberg's last interview on Fresh Air.

I almost didn't get him, and getting him was pretty much my top priority in life for like six weeks... these things can be tough to arrange. I was glad that he got the good Fresh Air spot and Charlie Rose.
