Louis CK on Q with Jian Ghomeshi

This show was recently piloted in the US of A by PRI. I haven't spent a lot of time with the show, but Ghomeshi has done a great job in the shows I've heard.

Jian Ghomeshi

Well he certainly has a name for Public Radio. All the exotic untraceability that the audience has come to demand.

If the British version of you is Jesse Thorne, is the Canadian version Jesse Thourn?

Sorry, normally I keep this dreck on the forums. Seems like a nice guy, looking forward to more.

Jian

Dude used to be not amazing at the start of his CBC radio career, but he has def stepped up his game (doing the job 5x every week for something like 3 years helps). He's had broadcasted talks with some pretty huge cultural figures, and always manages to make it interesting, not asking the typical questions you'd expect people would ask.

Between Jian, Jonathan

Between Jian, Jonathan Goldstein, and George Strombolopolous, we Canadians are blessed with some great public media types.

Billy Bob Jerkhead

I was really impressed with how Ghomeshi handled himself with the Billy Bob incident last year. How he was able to maintain his composure and not pop BBT in his smug, sneering mouth I'll never know.

Billy Bob Thorton Interview

I've been a fan of Q and Ghomeshi since his interview with Billy Bob some time ago where Thorton proved that he is completely insane. Getting to listen to CBC Radio is one of the few perks of living in Detroit. We can pick u Canadian TV and radio.

Wow

Oh Jian

I love the little eye twitch when he calls him "Lewis"

Ick

I'm really surprised you liked this. I don't think he's being ironic when he calls him Lewis. I don't think he's kidding when he thinks he actually help Louis write a bit for his stand up. He even says half way through the interview, "Wow you're making all of my questions sound really stupid."

As being a bad host myself I feel very qualified in judging other bad hosts. Maybe that's why you misjudged this one.

Your qualifications do not

Your qualifications do not seem to bear any scrutiny. This was a pretty decent, low key interview. What the hell is it that people like you expect? Frost/Nixon every time out?

Many (if not most) interviews are just a couple of people shooting the shit and if something noteworthy or interesting about the interviewee comes up it' a bonus.

The idea that the host is taking credit for CK's 'bit idea' is clearly a case of *projection* on your part. Ghomeshi does his job...helps promote Ck's tour and let's the listeners get a little sense of what CK is like...like what motivates him and how he relates to being a comedian.

Your comments seem like those of 'someone' who already doesn't like the host and needs to find fault in what seem like a normal part of the conversation.
