Above: Ciara's totally awesome video for her totally awesome dance single Gimme Dat. Another part of what Behold the Destroyer correctly identifies as her 7-year effort to be Janet Jackson, circa 1986. Which is totally the best Janet Jackson to be, and is just a great Janet Jackson, overall.
Below: Janet's 1989 video for Rhythm Nation, which is a jam of epic proportions, and is aped in the second half of Ciara's video above.

I Vote Janet
I'm not really a fan of the tae-kwon-do demo dance break in Rhythm Nation, but I still give the edge to Janet. The attention to detail is just remarkable, there's care and consideration given the the angle of every joint in every move. Even the 5-4-3-2-1 finger countdown at the beginning has an unexpected bit of choreography.
But if Ciara wants to emulate Janet, I welcome it. She doesn't get enough credit, and she's a more powerful woman than the other icons that are replicated more frequently in our culture. I think Janet would probably love that song and video.
Are you nuts?
Why are you comparing a Legend to a newbie?
Rhythm Nation was not only iconic but it was a movement. It's theme was addressing and trying to fight the social injustice in the world. She tackcled racism, drugs, education, war, hunger, gang violence, teen pregancy ect. That whole Album was a movement and it should not be compared to some no subtance bull crap about "Gimme dat". Are you seriously going to compare them? That's like comparing Chris Browns "Wall to wall" to Michael Jackson "Thriller" theres just some shit you do not do. Ciara can try to clone herself into Janet all she wants but there is no OLD Janet or NEW Janet there is only one Janet Jackson. There will never be another Janet and Ciara needs to get that through her head and just be Ciara.
The Rhythm Nation video is still one of the greatest dance video of all time and it set records and standards that are not broken or matched today especially not this "Gimme dat" p*ssy popping wanna be Janet mess of a video.
