Aretha Franklin Live in 1971
At the Montreux Jazz Festival. Looking beautiful in a short natural, and singing her ass off.
Sometimes I get annoyed by Aretha's omnipresence, and her universal acclaim, but then I listen to "Live at the Fillmore West," or "Amazing Grace" and I remember that the reason she's so fat and famous is because she really is a genius.

Great find, Jesse. I don't have a problem with Aretha's omnipresence. I do, however, have a problem with those who think her entire catalog consists of Natural Woman, Respect and Think. Since You've Been Gone, Good To Me As I Am To You, and, my favorite, Angel, are up there with all of those better-known songs.
And I still find surprising that, after all these years of weight problems and plunging necklines, she has never had a "wardrobe malfunction" on stage.
