I know you dig Tracey Morgan (and I do too), but Jack McBrayer is, in my opinion, the best thing about 30 Rock. I laugh just thinking about him. I was so happy that last week's episode involved him more than the others have so far. Awesome. "Pete's in the bathroom right now, lying in his own sick..."
I think it's hard to overstate how well-cast 30 Rock is. I'd say Fey isn't quite as strong as you'd like for your lead, but by no means is she bad. And all the supporting players are wonderful. Hopefully we'll get a little depth out of "fancy black guy" at some point.
I've come around on this one. Tracy Morgan has found a way to still be outrageous but "quieter". The show is hitting its stride.
