I Love L.A.

I have a ways to go before I can even reach Randy Newman's semi-ironic take on this place.

Have you noticed how many people from LA are so irony-impaired that they take this song literally? Even the part that goes, "look at that mountain... look at those trees... look at that bum over there, he's down on his knees!"

That comment was pretty rude... but so was my post. I've edited to moderate it.

Have you been to a Dodger game and heard that song? That might scare you.

Ian -- I totally have, and it's like entering a bizarro world. Of course, as a Giants fan, just going to a Dodgers game was like entering a bizarro world.

Matt... basically the comment was about smug San Francisco assholes. I didn't like having it up, and I didn't like it being anonymous, so I took it down, but it also lead to me reconsidering the phrasing of my post -- it was a bit over the top, and I wasn't saying what I really meant.
