Flava in Ya Ear

Wow, this song is so New Sincerity, it's about to EXPLODE with New Sincericism. Thanks to Yumi for putting me on to The Free Design... I didn't think they could top the New Sincerity of "Kites are Fun," but holy shit, this did it *and how*. (MP3)

Trae f. Z-Ro "No Help" might be my favorite hip-hop single of the year, but I didn't even realize it *was* a single until Oh Word posted the video.

If I may suggest three ramones songs for the new sincerity category:
-Oh Oh I love her so
-I wanna be your boyfriend
-I want you around
I'm told she's been a name in the UK for a few years, but if the new Amy Winehouse album is ever released in the US, watch out:

Huh. Winehouse is interesting, I'd heard of her but not listened to her music. Maybe it's a little too cutesy for me, though. Dunno. I am going to have Omar on the show though, speaking of UK soul, assuming I can nail down a time.
What I've found to be unique in her sound is its primary influence is early Motown, which hasn't been seriously re-thought since its time. I'm sure I speak for many in preferring later Stevie & Marvin to early Stevie and Marvin, but it's still refreshing to hear.
"Rehab" is the most modern and "cutesy" of what I've heard from the new album, but things like the baritone sax, the Spanish rhythms and so forth are certainly pre-funk.
I've read she's got quite the repulsive personality- sort of a British Courtney Love.
Could the Ramones be considered New Sincerity? Affection for the Ramones is generally held in an Old Sincerity kind of way, isn't it?
Not sure about the Ramones, I am of two minds on the issue. I'll ruminate.
