I've only lived in LA for about a year so I'm not too down with all the different areas around town so when a couple of months ago I covered a high school football game in Baldwin Hills and I took La Brea all the way back to Franklin then the 101 and I remember seeing the street sign "Mid City" and thought, 'what does that exactly mean?'
And I'd say 80% of the LA that Murs described is probably stuff that I'll never really fully appreciate, understand or experience, I still loved the song
