The good:
The folks behind Ego Trip Magazine and the wonderful and hilarious Book of Rap Lists
and Big Book of Racism created it.Prince Paul (TSOYA MP3) and MC Serch are the hosts.
The bad:
It is a reality show about finding a white rapper.
VH1's distinguished record in the reality arena.
Will it get The Gas Face? Only time will tell.
(Note to rap-nerddom-latecomers... Zev Love X, the skinny black rapper with the big round glasses in the video above is now known as MF Doom)

Fantastic (the video, not the show).
I just realized how much Zev sounded like Charizma.
Um, post 3rd Bass and post Emminem, does this show need to exist? Thanks, by the way, for clueing me in to the identity of Zev Love X and BLOWING MY MIND!
We are not post-eminem, he is just post-interesting.
Being a white rapper, I can (without seeing it) say that this show has no relevance to hip-hop. Also, almost no show on VH-1 is "needed."
How can anyone possibly be a fan of MF Doom and not read the first paragraph of his wikipedia entry?
Actually, I looved at your blog, votejoe, and you know way more about music than I could even pretend to.
So, I apologize. Facts about (formerly) obscure but sweet mcs dance around in my head. I am nerdcore.

BTW i interviewed the ego trip crew about the show last week, hopefully posting that video on monday.
I just realized what i see is everyones problem with the show. Is there's barely any talent on it. So the games and comedy they make them do make them look even more stupid than what they are spittin. This show would be tight if it had more hip hop elements, like the full interview of La Coka Nostra, and make it about successful white hip hop with the cast supplementing the show-- oppossed to it being about the struggle of every character trying to earn street cred by doin a frickin dog show ...
