RIP Don Herbert, AKA Mr. Wizard

A good and decent man, committed to education. He was a guest on The Sound of Young America a few years ago -- you can download the show (which also features the great Shelley Berman) here.

Sad. I remember watching Mr. Wizard a lot as a kid, and while I kind of knew a lot of it was cheesy then, every time I think of centrifugal force I remember the Mr. Wizard episode where they went to the carnival, and he (or the kid) spun a box of popcorn around.
