Tivoli/Kloss Table Radios at Target

I got a hot tip that Tivoli / Henry Kloss table radios are on sale at Target. The Model One radio, with a tuner designed by Henry Kloss, is one of the nicest radios you can buy -- right now they're only $29.99, though only in black. The Model Three is the same, plus a clock -- they're $49.99 (in any color). These are down from $119 and $199. I'm sure they'll be gone soon, but if you live near a target, these radios are what Bose Wave radios claim to be. Wonderful warm sound, spectacular reception, etc etc etc. I just bought one myself.

Edited to add: a commenter asked (perhaps in jest) if this was an advertisement or paid in any way. No, I just like really nice radios, being a radio host and all. And it's neat that I can actually afford to buy one :)

Is this an advertisement? Did you get paid by, Mr. Tastemaker?

That's a crazy discount. I can't find the deal online. Is it only in stores?

It's in stores only. The ones I bought (I bought one to put on Ebay) were on a clearance rack right next to the boomboxes.

So I ran to my local Target tonight and found the radios! I was so stoked until I did a price check on them just to make sure and guess what, they were still full price :-( . I checked all the racks around the section and couldn't a single clearance radio. Lets just say it bummed me out a little. Heres to hoping the ones in San Jose go on clearance soon!

Only black model ones are on clearance. All the two and threes are. Two is CD player, three is clock radio. At my target, they only had threes left.

I just discovered that mine (a model 3) has a "mix in," so if I want to listen to my radio and use it as computer speakers I can do both at the same time if I so choose.

I just hooked up my ipod to my the Model One and it sounds fantastic. Target happened to have one on the shelf tonight and still had the clearance price.
Plus, NPR now comes in crystal clear. I recently moved to a smaller town, and NPR and several other stations don't come in on any of the other radios in the house.
Thanks, Jesse.
