okay, I'm only 13 minutes into this podcast, Jesse, but I've heard "when the Phillies were good". I would feel remiss as a Philadelphia area native, to not point out that you were in fact referring to the reigning world champion Philadelphia Phillies. We all got a laugh out of the team you're referring to, I mean, Pete "Inky" Incaviglia, perhaps the finest of the proto-roid manimals.
They were the 1985 Villanova Wildcats of nineties professional baseball. Kind of outta shape, certainly doing cocaine ragtag group of misfits being surprisingly successful. In 1991, Lenny Dykstra wrapped his Corvette around a tree down the road from me. We all had a laugh.

But we went a long time without a championship, Jesse.

I'd also like to point out that our World Series rioting was a lot less destructive than most other recent winners, including the Lakers. I live out here, and I watched that footage until 3 AM. It was hilarious.

on behalf of Philadelphia, the city that often comes with an apology.
