Baseball books
Since Jesse was talking about baseball books on this week's episode--and recommending two of my favorites, Veeck as in Wreck and Ball Four--it seems worth sharing this recent story from the New York Times where they asked writers to recommend their favorites. The Arts Beat Blog then followed up with reader suggestions; there are some great books in these lists.
I will admit to being surprised that Jesse's answer to the question, "How can I get into baseball?" wasn't "Go back to 1989 and live in the Bay Area."
