Rhea Butcher grew up in Akron, Ohio but cut her teeth comically in Chicago at the Second City and iO before starting her career in standup. Bringing a lady's James Dean type cool and highly personal jokes, Rhea has performed at clubs like Zanies, the Jukebox, and Flappers and alternative comedy rooms such as Chicago Underground Comedy, The Hideout, and The Lincoln Lodge. She has opened for the likes of Maria Bamford and Bobcat Goldthwait. After moving to LA in fall 2012, Rhea quickly got to work in her new city and recently produced and hosted the first of a series of Qweirdo shows at UCB LA. She is also the creator of the show "That's Rad!" at the downtown LA theater The Hayworth, which aims to create diverse lineups each show with a 50-50 split of female to male comics.
