Mike Clattenburg Mike Clattenburg is the creator of the Canadian sitcom The Trailer Park Boys. It follows two friends, the scheming Julian (left) and the bumbling Ricky (right), as they plan petty crimes, grow dope, drink, and seek counsel from their wise (but possibly developmentally disabled) neighbor Bubbles (center). It's a surprisingly sweet and spectacularly profane look at life in the maritime provinces of Canada.

I am so excited to hear this. I love that you have so much CanCon on your show! Not only am I a huge fan of TPB but also a Maritimer. When the show first aired and in the first episode a character (most likely Ricky) said: Frig off, eh!, it made me howl. I hadn't heard that in years.
An Australian friend of mine told me she thought the show was degrading to people from the East Coast, which made me laugh. These people are caricatures, yes, but ones that are pretty friggin accurate. That's why it's so funny.

I'm a Californian, caught this show while I was on a business trip to Vancouver, and found myself not wanting to leave the hotel room as long as it was on...
Since then, I've watched every episode.
This show is genius, best freekin show I have ever seen.
Mike C., youve captured lightening in a bottle here, but dont take it for granted man. Sure, you should pursue other projects, but if the boys are up to it, or can be convinced to be up for it, please, please consider some future 1/2 hour shows! I appreciate how you wrote the shows, with the continuance, the characters that come and go, and the ongoing story... You cant really do that w/ movies, and some of your real genius - I guess a unique talent using the tools that 1/2 hour serial tv gives you, is lost..
These guys story isnt over, WE ALL WANT MORE, After you guys take a break, if you have the heart for it, please consider a return to the small screen, Makes me sad to think that you guys will never be the same age again, never be so connected, and yet something has put the breaks on something that can only be captured in this time, in this space, with these actors.
I would suggest, as a Conservative 'big picture' observer, dont throw away your opportunity to get the most out of the trailer park boys, for an opportunity that probably made itself available only because of the tp boys... It's magic, if your smart, you dont F with magic, you go with it, Embrace the TPB magic for as long as you can man, you dont get 2 chances like this, only one. And you seem to be walking away. There's time to turn around, its destiny man, dont forget who made you what you are... Youve gotta golden goose, dont sell it down the Sh*t river just cuz now everybody loves you, because they think you sh*t gold.
Truth is, your all a team, amazingly, stronger than the sum of your parts.
Dont 'F' over Julian, Ricky and Bubbles like everyone else seems to want to man...

Im a Texan, Mike Clattenburg is most certainly not below TPB. I think it ended perfectly and Mike should move on to greater things, although a reunion movie might be nice...
