Bullseye

It was a great year in comedy, so selecting the best of the best and compiling it into an hour-long special was a tall order. We have done just that, however, and we're kicking a new year off with a bang and The Best Comedy of 2012, as curated by the Bullseye staff.

You'll hear selections from the following, all of which are available for purchase now:

Top Comedians Acting Out Star Wars Lines for Charity

Another example of using comedy for good today: Lucasfilms has collaborated with Stand Up to Cancer to make this Star Wars themed video tribute featuring Aziz Ansari, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, and Emma Stone acting out lines from (the best movies of) the Star Wars series. Stand Up to Cancer funds a variety of innovative and collaborative research projects that are working towards a cure.

Good nerdy fun and all for a good cause.

A terrific interview with Scott Aukerman that addresses podcasting, writing, comedy groupies and the theme song for "MacGruber".

Aziz Ansari is making a series of "Watch The Throne" comics on his aptly-named Tumblr "Aziz Is Bored".

An aurally fascinating piece about Radiolab that demonstrates how the show explores complex topics through the attempted re-creation of unrecordable sounds. Includes links to their efforts to mimic a sleeping cat's brain, confused neurons and, of course, the Big Bang.

And finally,"Antique Trader" tells us how the intrepid Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club (the CC & GTCC for short) found thousands of vintage casino chips buried in a pile of sand behind a convenience store in Carson City.
