Janet Varney , Ricky Carmona, Matthew Crosby and Helen Zaltzman join Jesse to answer pop-culture questions and joke around. Written by Jordan Morris and Sarah Morgan.
Helen Zaltzman, Janet Varney, Michael Smiley and Bryan Safi join special guest A.J. Jacobs and host Jesse Thorn for the pop-culture quiz where land laws don’t apply and the only way to ensure silence in the home is an all-out war on squirrels.
We also discuss a fifty year old British Busta Rhymes, find out what an Omoplata Crossface might be and get to visualise Helen and Michael in a London studio lit only by vintage screensavers.
A.J. Jacobs' new book is Drop Dead Healthy: One Man's Humble Quest for Bodily Perfection.

This week, actor, writer and comedian Janet Varney is guest hosting for Jesse! Janet is one of the hosts of the long-running segment Dinner and a Movie on TBS, a writer for the DVD commentary series Rifftrax, and is one of the co-founders and producers of SF Sketchfest (an amazing celebratory festival of comedy in San Francisco).
Danny Pudi is an actor and comedian best known for his role as the pop culture-obsessed Abed Nadir on the NBC show Community. He talks to us about working on a show that's as much fun to shoot as it is to watch, connecting his Indian and Polish heritage to others through mustaches, and working improv comedy into a scripted show (among other things!). Community returns with its season premiere on September 22nd at 8/7c.
Janet Varney and Jessica Makinson join Jesse and Jordan to talk about hot weather, pop-up shops, casual encounters and more.
