If you haven't gotten enough of the smooth deep tones of this week's TSOYA guest Patrick Warburton and you're not easily offended, you can get your fill with Effin with Tonight, where he's the voice of the totally inappropriate late night talk show host.
The series is a parody of the late night circuit if the words 'Politically' or 'Correct' were never invented, with guests like Kanye West and Jerry Lewis. The show was created by Jim Shaughnessy, who's had stints on almost every late night show in the business, so we imagine Effin is an opportunity to live out a late night writer's wildest dreams.
If you don't immediately recognize his name, you will undoubtedly know his voice. Patrick Warburton, at one point in the 80s and 90s, appeared in almost every popular television program running. From guest appearances on Northern Exposure and Murphy Brown to more regular characters on NewsRadio and Dave's World. His most popular character is arguably David Puddy on Seinfeld, whose persona he created in a read-through.
Patrick's style and on-screen persona literally cornered the market on the meat-headed wrench monkey and was even able to take this delivery to Disney as the character 'Kronk' in The Emperor's New Groove. The animation world would also use Patrick's unique and immediately recognizable voice in hit shows like Archer, Family Guy and The Venture Brothers.
Not a bad career span for someone who really, just wanted to surf Newport swells and maybe study marine-biology.
You can catch Patrick co-starring along with David Spade in the CBS Prime Time show Rules of Engagement, Thursdays at 8:30/ 7:30c. He's also the voice of the totally irreverent, totally inappropriate late night talk show host on Crackle's new series Effin with Tonight.
Rob Baedeker, from the comedy group Kasper Hauser, joins us to share the ground-breaking lecture he gave on the subject of chemistry, at the California Institute of Technology. Basically, any lecture ever given in the history of chemistry has been rolled into one. This one.
Julienne and Emily are neighbors, co-workers and romantically involved. They both have a live/work spaces set in urban surroundings that needed a little touch of flora.
Julienne wants to add the Mexican Daisy which she prefers because of its scent and simple beauty. Emily, not fond of the daisy or its odor at all, has refused to come over to Julienne's if the daisy is planted.
Will Julienne need to create a daisy-free habitat? Will Emily have to wake up and smell the flowers? It's the war of the roses that only one man can decide!

John Hodgman's new book of fake trivia and world knowledge, THAT IS ALL, is now available in bookstores (that are still around) and online retailers. To find out when he may be visiting a city near you, see Areas of My Expertise.
Kate Beaton joins us on The Sound Of Young America to talk about her webcomic, Hark! a Vagrant. Her comic mines everything from Nancy Drew to obscure Canadian explorers for inspiration. Political figures and literary characters are re-imagined and skewered as petulant children, jaded superheroes and Victorian dude-watchers, accented by a very expressive drawing style.
We talk about building an audience online, Kate's own favorite comics and what gives her inspiration.
Her comics have recently been collected into a book, also called Hark! A Vagrant.
While Bryan was compiling a comprehensive list of the top 100 horror movies the issue arose of what shared characteristics all the movies in the genre must have.
Bryan says that the content is king and what matters most is what takes place with the characters themselves. His friend Jay, whose help was enlisted for the compilation, maintains that it’s the director’s intent for audience reaction that holds sway.
Who will be tricked and who gets treated on this thriller of a case for Judge John Hodgman!
