The Adventure Zone Presents: The Great Switcheroo of 2015

You didn't think our heroes were the only adventurers in the world of The Adventure Zone, did you? In this episode, the hysterical folks from The Flop House take over, introducing the world to a new, lovable trio of mercenaries.

Strap in for a two-hour D&D session starring Stuart Wellington as DM, Elliott Kalan as the Dragonborn Bard Jeremy "Scales" Fangbattle, Dan McCoy as High Elf Druid Lucian Buttwatcher and Zhubin Parang as the noble Tanzer Silverview.

Lighten up, folks. This episode was a lot of fun.

And I am a woman. I thought these guys were hilarious. Love it as I love the McElroys. I play D&D, I have listened to every episode of The Adventure Zone multiple times. Will continue to, as I would listen to the Flop House guys play more too.

Godbless those McElroys

I was watching Hands of Manos once in smallish theatre and this dude in the middle of everyone spent the whole time making obvious, redundant, offensive quips and remarks the entire time. Nothing he said was funny or interesting or unique.
I had to leave halfway through because the movie was obviously terrible, but he took all the joy out of watching what could potentially be a fun experience.
That's what a lot of DnD podcasts are like. A group of bros making the most obvious, generic quips imaginable.
I realize It's unfair to critique and compare the two iterations of the show. But I am oh so happy the McElroys are the ones running the ship.

This was so unexpectedly amazing. It seems like a no brainer that this continues, especially since the main show is only twice a month. I would be so completely down for the two shows to alternate back and forth week to week so we get a show every Thursday. If not it was probably the best one off that could have happened, thanks for the laughs!

A perfect switcheroo

This was a perfect switcheroo. I could get used to weekly shows alternating between this crew and the McElroys. Stuarts voices were fantastic, Zhubin was hilarious, Elliot was charming, and Dan's dead pan complimented them perfectly. If this never happens, at least I'll know I'll still get the McElroys every other week.

Fantastic Switcheroo

This was a perfect switcheroo. I could get used to weekly episodes alternating with this crew and the McElroys. A man can dream.

Loved it. I want more.

Flophouse, please consider making more. What a fantastic episode. I've never listened to The Flophouse before, but their chemistry throughout this episode was strong. Even though he was just an occasional guest, the guy doing Silverview was terrific. Quick wit. Hilarious. DM kept the story moving along at a great pace, and the D&D mechanics just fit right in seamlessly.

Again, please think about starting a new D&D podcast.

McElroys, you're dead to me. That was a joke, you're still number one in my heart.

Way to go!

You guys nailed it. Hearing the Flophouse play D&D is practically a dream come true. Loved the ties and callbacks to the regular Adventure Zone campaign. How you managed to keep me constantly entertained for two solid hours is a mystery, but great job.

What a great episode, my only complaint: not enough Boogens.

Don't be gross, guys

I'm sure these guys are great but it'd be nice if they remembered that women listen to this show too. The only role women played in their Adventure Zone was as sexual prop or cook. Gross.

Totally agree

Thanks for saying this. I believe they were trying to be ironic, but it was sloppy and a real turn off.
