Biz and Theresa realize we need more time to check in on what's been going on recently. From favorite shows to the noise of clutter to feminist fireside chats with children, we let the little things in life take over the show this week and it feels good to catch up! Plus, we talk to Bianca Jamotte about her hilarious video series Real Mommy Confessions which serves as a reminder that none of us are perfect. Amen.

Suggestion for an Expert

Hi!

Another great show this week. I feel like Biz has a window into my life. Anyway...the discussion about bringing in an expert about how to talk about race is AWESOME! Can't wait to hear about that.

Some other thoughts about experts to offer suggestions about how to talk with kids in age-appropriate ways about: death, puberty*, sexual/gender orientation, anger/frustration feelings, gradual independence. Some of these may have been covered in past episodes and I maybe just haven't listened to those episodes yet.

*My daughter is 6 and has precocious puberty (her body is trying to go through full-blown puberty and has been doing so since she was 13 months old), so I have a 6-year-old who has the hormones of a teenager...YAY! Trying to explain THAT to her in an age appropriate way is always a challenge.

Anyway, I'm always looking for more inspiration about finding teachable moments with my kids.

I so LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show and everyone who works so heard to bring it to us each week. It really makes my life better.

Convenient excuse...
