Charity Auction: A Painting of Me.

Posted by Maximum Fun on 4th June 2009

Artist Andrew Finkle kindly offered to paint a portrait of me and auction it to benefit charity, so I gladly took him up on his offer.

The painting is me as early 20th century pitching superstar Christy Mathewson.

Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Not For Sale Campaign, which fights human trafficking. Half will be donated to The Jhai Foundation, which does sustainable, user-owned and driven development work in the third world. Jhai’s chairman, by the way, is my father, Lee Thorn, and I sit on the board, along with a number of folks much more distinguished than I.

You can bid on the painting here. I started things off with a bid of $9.99.
